WOW107 Siemans ‘Udet’
Out of Stock
Description
Description
The Siemans Schuckert was considered a world beating aircraft when it was introduced in August 1918. However it was produced in too few numbers to have any effect on the outcome of the war, 280 aircraft had been ordered but only 123 were produced before the war ended. Described as easy to fly it required a very short take off run and at heights over 13,100 ft was faster and more manoeuvrable than the Fokker D. V11. It also had a phenomenal rate of climb and could fly higher than the Fokker V11, it did however have its faults particularly its engine which was prone to seizing up, although this was later rectified. We have a total of 3 Siemans in the colours of aerial ace Ernst Udet (who also comes free with this model or a similar figure if Udet not available) in stock at present. The $ price shown reflects an additional $100 cost for worldwide postage (there is NO free postage on Warbirds) and therefore no extra charges will apply at checkout. UK and EU customers pay less postage as you are a lot closer to us.
